I keep a small herd of Nubians here on our 120 acre farm as I've always admired and enjoyed the breed tremendously. Gentle and affectionate, my Nubians supply generous amounts of sweet milk and tons of entertainment. I particularly love their breed character, and they have made themsevles quite comfortable here. Enjoy!
CAE/Johne's/CL tested negative all adults every year since 2003; last test January 2011.
All does and bucks are G6S Normal except Zasia, G6S Carrier.
Doe and bucks listed in order by age....
Our does were bred starting summer this year and will begin kidding in December! Doe and buck kids will be $350 this year, deposits are being accepted! All were confirmed pregnant by BioTracking in early October. We are very excited to be using *B Black Mesa Splash Pop Fizz this year, heavily linebred on strong milk genetics from the Black Mesa and Six M Galaxy herds! Many Top Ten milk production awards and Elite awards on both sides of his pedigree - put some milk in your pail with one of these kids!
Fizz was bred to all of the does except Zasia, who was bred to Ober'd-Rainbow Pa*Zazz.
2 doe kids will be retained this year to prove out Fizz's genetic contributions.
Kennelwood Sunshine and Silveraurora Abby are still here with us awaiting their new goat house at their future home. If the girls are still here at kidding time, there's a good possibility that some of their kids will also be for sale. Both are confirmed bred.

Flower came here as an adult and her owner had hoped she was bred, but she didn't end up being so. Instead, she was bred to one of my boys and gave me beautiful kids soon enough! Flower isn't a large Nubian, but she is a strong and healthy girl with a gorgeous udder with plumb teats. So much so that she has won 2 Best Udder in Breed at the few shows she's attended. A good milker with a good temperament and the best feet in the herd, we brought her in for appraisals in 2011 and found - gasp - she no longer had readable tattoos! UGH! She had a beautiful set of twins spring 2011. She will be bred to Fizz for 2012 kids. Single big black and tan doe kid born 1-7-12.
Below is just a casual photo of her in the barn aisle sampling hay during milking time....

Jewel is my crack-up doe. She has the most roman nose and breed character of all the Nubians. She also has large plumb teats that are a joy for a hand milker! Black with those white spots on only her right side, she's lovely to watch. As a mature doe she now has a slightly undershot jaw to go with that huge but beautiful nose of hers. She's taken a Junior Gr Ch and a Reserve, and since has broken one toe on her left foot - stinker! She was appraised 'stale' July of 2011 and scored a VVVA - 83. She'll do better next time as long as she's in milk. I really love milking this doe, and her kids are beautiful. She will be bred to Fizz in 2012 as I would love a high milk production doe kid from her and Fizz doesn't have any undershot jaws in his immediate pedigree. We'll see how generous she is with doe kids - and she did just fine. On 1-7-12, she gave birth to a huge doe kid covered in moonspots.
Below, a photo of Jewel's udder with about 8 hours of milk in it.

Queisha is simply stunning. As a junior she won 2 Best in Shows. She is a quiet doe with a very easy going personality. Just elegant, oozing with breed character, and a clean bite even with her Roman nose and very long ears. She was bred to Fizz for greater milk production. Queisha kidded 1-7-12 with twins - a black and tan doe kid and a big black and tan buck kid with moonspots!
Below a shot of Queisha's udder with about 8 hours of milk as a FF. Very plumb teats.

Wow! I have loved this buck since he arrived as a kid. A black and tan, Pazazz is covered in moonspots and has such long beautiful ears and breed character. As this boy grows up, he's just gotten better and better. As a 2 year old he appraised as VEV 88 - can't wait till next time as he's slowly maturing into an exceptional buck. Easy to live with, PaZazz loves people too.

Fizz Is a gentle buck that took his time maturing, and is still growing and growing! His dam is a multiple Elite Doe in the milkpail and scored a 91 as Excellent. Fizz's sire comes from Six M Galaxy, known for their many Top Ten milk producers for many generations. Nice ears and breed character with excellent rump and legs. His first kids will be in 2012; his genetics will improve milk production! Fizz comes from the commercial dairy, Black Mesa, where his dam and the other does in the herd need to work for a living. His breeder and I thought he was a solid black and tan with no spotting, but even his baby photo shows thumbprint and finger tip sized lighter spots - chocolate brown spots on black. Once his kids were born, it was easy to tell that he indeed has spots and so do his kids!
Fizz's first kids are now here. Pen bred to 5 does, so far 4 have kidded and a bunch of them have spots. They are all good sized kids with lots of length too.
