Welcome to Silveraurora Purebred Nubian Dairy Goats, located in Wasilla, Alaska!
ALL OF OUR GOATS TESTED NEGATIVE JANUARY 2010 FOR CAE AND JOHNE'S JUST AS WE HAVE EVERY YEAR - AND NEVER ANY CL ON OUR PROPERTY OR GOATS.
A little about us -
In the late 70's, while attending Michigan State University, living in an old farmhouse surrounded by vet students, I had the great pleasure of being introduced to the goat world. My roommates had a nice herd of registered white LaManchas that we milked daily, bred, and raised kids from. All of the goats where white - for years I thought all LaManchas were just white! They were beautiful and loving goats and I grew attached to them easily. I hoped that someday I too would have my own dairy herd.
Here we are now, 30+ years later, with a wonderful milk and show herd. My desire to own Nubians has been ongoing, and simply had to come to fruition. Their beauty and rich milk make them a must-have, let alone their affection is contagious!
.
Our Nubian herd expanded with arrivals from Ober-D'Rainbow and we had everyone appraised in 2009. We look forward to some nice genetic contributions that include Saada, Goldthwaite, Prairie Fire, and others. Type, milk production, and health are of great importance to us for our lovely Nubians.
We're going to keep it simple this year and have an easy kidding schedule -
All of our mature girls were bred to Ober'D-Rainbow PaZazz, with Sunshine due late spring bred to Blue Zephyr. Pa*Zazz is our buck with incredible breed character, scoring an Excellent on his youngstock appriasal this past July. He is very mature for his age and has grown exceptionally well too.
Due starting February 2010:
Yiqueisha - doe kids reserved/buck kids $400. Queisha has several Jr Best of Breeds and Jr Best in Show.
Yule Ti Jewel - 1st doe kid reserved/buck kids $400. Jewel has several Best of Breed wins.
Zasia - doe kids $400/buck kids $400.
Kids will be tested for G6S before leaving. Twin doe kids born 2-18-10, 1 available!

Sunshine bred to Blue - doe kids $400/buck kids $400. Due late July/early August 2010.
A casual photo of the girls back in the fall of 2008 when they first arrived...Flower was quite disturbed by my camera and her face (and ears) sure shows it! HA!
I
Sunshine has her ADGA Junior leg. She is a lovely girl, long and elegant, with a strong convex face profile and good width between her hocks, standing on good legs and feet.
Flower carries plenty of bone, excellent overall width, standing on good legs and feet. She has a wonderful personality to go with her lovely construction and it's that personality that won me over! Flower has been in 3 shows now in 2009 - 2 times 2nd in her class, and 2 x BUIB!! She has a gorgeous udder with excellent attachments. Flower appriased in 2009 as VG - 85. She is smaller in stature than the 'modern' Nubian and that tends to bring down her overall score, but she is a lovely well-put-together girl.
Both are tested G6 Normal. Both also tested negative for CAE and Johnes as was the herd that they came from, and no CL on either property!
Flower's first freshing udder.
We liked what we've seen from the Ober-D'Rainbow herd and decided to add several kids from them that we feel have the potential to do great things both in the show ring and the milk pail.
We decided to do Young Stock appraisal in 2009, and we are very happy with the results listed below too!

This is Wyatt's sister. She wasn't supposed to come up here
but she is just so gorgeous - I am thankful that Suzanne has entrusted us with her!
In her first show as a 5 month old, Queisha took the Reserve Jr Champion ribbon to a doe that went on to BIS Jr Nubian under judge Jean Lucas of Kismet Nubians. Wow! In the class of 8 entries, Queisha was 2nd, Zasia 3rd, and Jewel 4th with some stiff competition too. Then under Judge Gary Whitehead she not only went Best of Breed Junior but BIS Junior Doe!

Ok, I'm a DHI kinda person...I've milked every day for 6 years and I really appreciate great udders. My bet is this boy will help produce some lovely udders as well as does that will be a joy to look at...every day, twice a day, 12 hours apart....and perhaps one more time just to admire them.
I really like PaZazz's length hips to pins! Oh, and did I mention that Pazazz has just a few moonspots?

Our blue boy......plenty of good things in his complimentary pedigree that
have worked well in the past and should do so in the future too.
Our sales policy -
**** We reserve the right to wether any buckling if we feel that conformation
and/or overall potential is below our expectations. We retain the right to keep first choice out of each breeding if needed. Prices for kids are prior to freshening and any additional milk titles. We will evaluate kids once they are born and reserve the right to make adjustments to our pricing at that time based on quality of the kids and/or freshening udder of the dam, but prior to birth prices will remain the same for those with deposits already paid. Due to the fact that goats are living, breathing animals, sometimes they are not up to perform their 'job' when needed. Rarely, but on occasion, we may choose to use another buck in our herd but will update this site (and anyone with deposits already placed) if this needs to be done, at which time you would be entitled to a refund if you prefer. Doelings and bucklings/wethers are ready to leave by 8 weeks of age or sooner if bottle fed - after 8 weeks of age there will be a $3 per day boarding fee unless prior arrangements have been made in writing before your chosen kid is born. We require a $100 deposit to reserve a kid. Deposits are refunded or may be transferred to another available kid if your choice is not born or if the animal is not up to our standards of quality. Deposits are NOT refunded on cancelled orders. Once you are notified of the birth of your reserved kid, you will be expected to remit the remaining purchase price plus any shipping/crate/health certificate fees within 3 weeks. If paying by PayPal, you will need to add an additional 3 percent to the deposit and/or purchase price to cover the PayPal fees. We reserve the right to refuse a sale without explanation and any deposit would be refunded. Thank you for your understanding! ****
