Silveraurora Nigerian Dwarf Kidding Schedule

Yippy with her 2011 twins!

2011 Update -
Whole herd all breeds tested negative for CAE, CL, and Johnes. We have always tested negative! The ND's were copper bolused this fall and they are on our Fertrell custom mix Vit/Min/Yeast/Probiotic concentrate added to local barley and alfalfa pellets, along with our second cutting organically raised local timothy/brome mix. I use Eprinex twice a year for lice control with winter application of natural pyrethrums. If I wanted lots of chemicals in our home milk, I'd buy the stuff in the stores and save allot of money - ha!

Kids will be ready to leave at 4 weeks of age.

We have 2 very nice groups of girls that will be bred this year to 2 different bucks.

Group #1 -

Our wonderful junior does have DD Tiny Toes Xaver, LA 2011 FS88, in their pen with them. Xaver is heavily linebred on the Gay-Mor genetics and a very nice, long buck who scored Excellent in both high tight shoulders and rear legs. Pen breeding started 10/12/11.
This group of juniors includes daughters of ARMCH Sayil, AR Vanilla, Rosasharn Bumble Bee, Patience, & my stunning daughter of SG Wahooroo, one of the first Superior Genetics ADGA awarded does. Also included are 2 younger does, YadaYadaYada - a Patience daughter, and Sarandipity - a Twin Creeks Sarafina daughter.

As these girls are all first fresheners (except Yada and Sarandipity) but have some incredible milk and show potential, so prices reserved in advance with only be $350 for doe kids. Their ADGA registration numbers are listed here so that you may go look up their pedigrees and do a breeding pedigree online also -

The 2nd group of does that will be bred this year are going to be penned with our exciting young buck we kept this year, Berry Berry, out of Twin Creeks Sarandipity by Silveraurora Antonio - BIS ARMCH Sayil's son. This Chamoise buck kid has the most outstanding high escutcheon and wide leg set we've had born here in a long time, and I'm impressed. There should be some stunning kids sired by this young fellow and with his dam's beautiful udder, they should have beautiful udders with plumb teats. Does that he is penned with as on 10/19/11 -

QSF DTI Patience - AGS Top Ten 1 day test milker at 6.8 pounds when she was a younger gal, still recently made the AGS Top Ten 1 day test results in the #4 position, and is now 10 years old and in great health. I expect her to have twins or a single at her age. Kids $450.

Jobi Plum - excellent milk genetics with productive daughters. Plum was in the Top Ten AGS One Day Milk Test, 4th place tied with Patience, for milk production. Kids $400.

Twin Creeks Luminescence - a beautiful chamoise with very correct structure and a sweet personality too. Kids$400.

BIS GCH/ARMCH Sandy Hills Hollow Sayil 2*M.
This will be a nice linebreeding on Sayil's genetics, as Berry is sired by Sayil's son out of Sarandipity. Since Sayil was also permanently LA'd this year with a FS90 - Excellent, this will be an exciting linebreeding for type. Sayil's kids will be $500.

Silveraurora JC Vanilla Bean is also in this group. She has produced kids consistently better than herself, including SGCH Silveraurora Xbean. She scored an 88 this year in LA with VEEV. She also kidded shortly before appraisals so iher udder hadn't blossomed yet, darn it! Soft buttery texture to her udder that collapses down to nothing, she is my easiest hand milker in the herd with an adorable personlity to boot! I just love this girl and have always loved her kids. An exceptional doe and worth adding one of her kids to your breeding program. Kids $450.

Silverauarora TH Xtreme Love, LA FS 87 2011, had just freshened shortly before appraisals and her General Appearance wasn't as good as later this summer when she blossomed! This was also when I was suffering from a nasty spider bite and laid up for several weeks and had to reply on others to do he milking and care of the goats. UGH!! I am so pleased how easily she bounced back but it certainly wasn't in time for appraisals. She had a gorgeous son working now in a herd in Nevada. She milks easily and milks out completely with an udder that collapses down to nothing. Her udder texture has improved this time and I'm very pleased! Kdis will be $400.

Silveraurora SB Xtinker - Stinker is my Tupence Ginger Snap daughter. Xtinker's LA, FS88 VEEV, demonstrated not only is she a beautiful doe but she has one of the best rumps in the herd - an E!! Very exceptional! Her kids will be $400.

Reservations are accepted in order of deposit received.

We prefer to do pen breeding, allowing the buck to remain with the does for more than 28 days. This way we are assured that the buck has at least one if not 2 heat cycles to breed his girls. The bucks remain calmer and eat better when they live with the girls and we feel this is advantageous to their overall health and a reduction of stress on them too. We believe that birthing does in small groups also allows mutual care of the kids and allot of socialization and play time for them in groups like this.

**** We reserve the right to wether any buckling if we feel that conformation
and/or overall potential is below our expectations. We retain the right to keep first choice out of each breeding. Prices for kids are prior to freshening and any additional milk titles. We will evaluate kids once they are born and reserve the right to make adjustments to our pricing at that time based on quality of the kids and/or freshening udder of the dam, but prior to birth prices will remain the same for those with deposits already paid. Due to the fact that goats are living, breathing animals, sometimes they are not up to perform their 'job' when needed. Rarely, but on occasion, we may choose to use another buck in our herd but will update this site (and anyone with deposits already placed) if this needs to be done, at which time you would be entitled to a refund if you prefered. Doelings and bucklings/wethers are ready to leave by 8 weeks of age - after 8 weeks of age there will be a $3 per day boarding fee unless prior arrangements have been made in writing before your chosen kid is born. We require a $100 deposit to reserve a kid. Deposits are refunded or may be transferred to another available kid if your choice is not born or if the animal is not up to our standards of quality. Deposits are NOT refunded on cancelled orders. Once you are notified of the birth of your reserved kid, you will be expected to remit the remaining purchase price plus any shipping/crate/health certificate fees within 3 weeks. If paying by PayPal, you will need to add an additional 3 percent to the deposit and/or purchase price to cover the PayPal fees. We reserve the right to refuse a sale without explanation and any deposit would be refunded. Thank you for your understanding! ****

If you are wanting bottle fed kids, with prior arrangement we will begin bottle feeding between 2 and 3 weeks while still allowing them nights with their dams. Bottle fed kids leave at 4 weeks of age. Since we are bottle feeding our large breed kids so that we have our milk too, we can also start your kid on the bottle. Dam raised kids don't leave until 8 weeks of age while bottle kids at 4 weeks of age. Just talk to us, we'll be happy to discuss the options available!
