Here you'll find all of our gals at Silveraurora and a brief description of each of our special family members! All who have been in the show ring have been owner handled.

Anyone that is part of our active breeding program has all of their health testing listed. If you have any quesitons, feel free to contact us!

Bull Mtns SilverAurora Agate, STDd, OTDd, ATDd, STDs, OTDs, ATDs, HSAs

You can't ask for a better best friend than Aggie! She keeps going strong even tho we nearly lost her to Pyometria and an emergency spay fairly early in her life. Always a firecracker, she is my best farm hand. Her daughters, granddaughters, and great grandchildren reside here with us. Be sure to see her Granddaughter, Anna, below who is starting on her herding trial titles now too and has a number of puppies that also have their herding titles already! Aggie has been retired from the herding arena thanks to several injuries but still loves to work. She holds many High in Trials and has a wall full of 1st and 2nd place winnings. Thank you Janis for sending us this pistol, she's everything we could dream of for a cattledog! She is my heart and soul.

Aggie is OFA Good, BAER Bilateral, Eyes clear 2007, and PRCD A.

Ch SilverAurora's Little Lena, PT, STDs, HSAs

Betty is a pretty remarkable gal. Out of Spice by Jake, she is not only awesome to look at, easily completing her show career with five 3-point majors and one 5-pt major, but is a working fool. She loves working stock and takes her work seriously. Once in a while I get in the way but next time out she'll forgive me. Just your usual cattledog - LOL! She has already achieved an AKC High in Trial and an AKC Reserve High In Trial and a number of placements in the ribbons. We are hoping for a litter from this wonderful gal in 2008/2009. She has proven to be a tough one to find the right guy for - she's picky!

Baer Bilateral hearing, PRCD Pattern A, full dentition, OFA Good, eyes clear 2007.

CH Bull Mtns Red E To Rock, HIC - retired

Spice was our first Bull Mtns puppy. She was not happy in the show ring for a few years, giving her time off now and then and also for a few litters. When we took her back to the show ring, she'd matured and decided all was well with the world and then would strut her stuff - and what stuff she has! She is awesome! Incredible structure, high intelligence, and wonderful movement. In a matter of only a few months, she took three 5-pt majors to easily finish her Conformation Championship. Spice is co-owned with Bull Mtns Kennel and has given us a number of incredible offspring including Rocky, Ch Silveraurora's PW Tom Thumb, who now resides in the UK and Betty, her lovely daughter above. We are eternally grateful to her breeder for sending her to us and she is still our special Spice Girl. Rocky has gone on to do great things in the UK, working cattle in Ireland and Scotland, and also siring a daughter who won Best of Breed at Crufts, 2008!!

Spice is OFA Fair, BAER Bilateral, Eyes clear 2006, and PRCD B.

Stockmaster Red Roisin

We welcome our new little girl from the Stockmaster kennel in Northern Ireland, Roisin. Roisin is Gaelic for Rose, and a beautiful Rose she is!

Roisin is sired by our own group placing boy, Champion Silveraurora's PW Tom Thumb, HIC. She's a paternal half sister to the 2008 AND 2009 Best of Breed at Crufts! She is out of Stockmaster Gem, a gorgeous blue speckle girl with show wins of her own there in the UK. I had the great pleasure of meeting Gem and her litter while visiting there in the late fall of 2008. I watched both Gem and Rocky work cattle and sheep while there also, and am very pleased with their herding abilities, so much so that it was a no-brainer to want to bring Roisin home. So her breeder, Daryl, was able to fly over and stay with us for a vacation and bring her with, and we are so glad he did! She has been an absolute joy in our house and keeps us in stitches! She's also done her best to stomp a few ducks with great joy and and has made a great impression on the sheep already...but we expected her to do so, much like her grandmother Spice, above. who has a strong natural gathering ability. I also got to work with her full brother from a previous litter, Jack, who at only 9 months worked stock with such presence and power that I had to pick my jaw up off the ground and just admire this incredible boy's work. If Roisin has half his abilities on stock I will be more than thrilled!

Thank you Daryl for allowing her to come to our home! We look forward to her future endeavors.

3 months old!

Ch SilverAurora's Ewe Got It, HIC

Martha is my soul dog. Like her mother Aggie, Martha has eyes only for me. Her sire is our first home-bred owner handled champion, Jake. She is glue to my side wherever we go. As much as she'd love to get after the sheep, she can't leave me but 3 steps behind...it's frustrating, but I have to credit her innate desire to be attached to me - some cattledogs can be this way, and who am I not to honor her devotion? She also has one of the best side movements of any of our dogs and can fly around the show ring. She is another one of our girls here that finished her show career with three 5-pt majors, her last being in the 12-18 month class.

Martha and Ella (below) are sisters. PRCD Pattern A, BAER Bilateral hearing, perfect bite but missing 2 P1's, and OFA EXCELLENT, Eyes clear 2009.

Ch SilverAurora's Hey Ewe - retired

Ella is very much a character. Never pushy, a quiet girl, she remains all cattledog in character. Hand her lead to someone else and her eyes never leave me even tho she is quite amenable to someone handling her. She finished solely out of the Bred By class with three 5-pt majors. Her first show at 7 months of age saw her going Best of Breed over not only the class dogs and bitches but also 3 specials, one a former #1 ACD in the US and Canada. Her movement, like her sister Martha, is impeccable. I put her in the show ring again for an innagural club show in 2005 and she went over a class dog and a special under Judge Carmen Battaglia. We are quite proud of our red speckled girl! Ella is out of Aggie by Jake. She had a pretty tough delivery in 2006 and probably won't be bred again, so she is retired now.

PRCD Pattern A, OFA good, BAER Bilateral hearing, perfect bite and full dentition. Clear eyes 2006.

Ch Silveraurora's Watch Me Fly

Sarah is one of the happiest cattledogs you'll ever meet. She loves everyone and plays with just about any dog she meets. Sarah showed and finished her championship easily - she loved being in the show ring. She is out of Darcy, Ch Silver Hills Energizer Bunny, STD-s,d by Tuffy, Ch So-Lo's Tuffernhell, a son of the great Banjo - the first Conformation and Herding champion of the breed (WTCH, HCH, and a whole ton of other titles). Sarah is OFA Fair, eyes clear again August 2007, PRCD pattern C, and perfect sissor bite. Sarah was born August 2001 and gave birth to her first litter, 3 boys and 1 girl, November 20th, 2007. Bear is the sire (PRCD Pattern A). Puppies will be obligate B's and will not express PRA as adults! Future show and herding prospects no doubt!

Another Major!

SilverAurora's Kirite Kanawa

As beautiful as her mom. Well they almost cut me outta the picture!

Now here's our character who's named after a famous opera singer! Xena was purchased back as a young silly girl who got her father's head and her mum's body and at the time didn't look like much- LOL! She's out of Sally who passed away some years ago now and who was built like a Mack Truck and oh so beautiful! She's sired by Tuff, a handsome old man to say the least. She's been on a diet, finally, and it's worked. She has turned into a lovely swan and is winning in the show ring but still has a bit of weight to loose. She has both majors and a number of other show wins, moves out with a beautiful top line, and loves being in the show ring too, so hopefully soon she will finish her championship. She's also the happiest girl on the place and everyone loves her. We just realized that with all her wins, we're lacking a show photos so hopefully these will help taken by friends. Xena has never been successfully bred but we still have our hopes of one day getting a puppy!

Xena is OFA Good, PRCD Pattern B, eyes clear 2007, and BAER Bilateral hearing.

Silveraurora's Silver Platinum, HT, PT, STDs, HSAs, HRD I-s

Photo above going Best of Breed under judge Pat Hastings.

NEWS! Anna took High In Trial September 6th 2008 under Judge Carol Wolfram and completed her HSAs title the next day, with her son Russell going High in Trial! In 2009, after a broken bone kept her out for a while, she handily completed her HRD-I, s title too!

Anna is the result of line breeding that demonstrated what we thought was lurking there - a bit of creeping tan - but also wonderful herding ability. And we're not hiding her under a rock either! So far Anna has done very well in the show ring and has 8 points towards her championship, and has taken time off from the show ring to work on her herding titles. Like her mother, Martha, her movement is excellent and her attitude is so happy, so up, and so enthusiastic. She is very athletic, very friendly, and very smart too. Both she and her sister Rose, below, had outrageous puppy coats, as you can see in this photo above. Spring was very cold here and they are finally shedding out into sleek, shiny girls! We're pleased that Anna's first 2 outings in the AKC herding arena have resulted in her HT title. She has also attained her AKC PT title just a few months after her HT. And the very next weekend, finished her ASCA Started Trial Dog title on sheep too! She's a natural header so we'll have our work cut out for us, but she is VERY much working in the style of her grandmother, Aggie, and I hope to shape that natural herding instinct into the wonderful working dog that her grandmother has always been for me. She loves being on stock, it is her desire to live in the house and the sheep pen at the same time. I'm proud of my little girl and her phenominal personality, willingness to work, and her natrual low hitting heeling work ethic. What a love!

Anna has passed on her strong herding instinct to her puppies too. At a year and a half of age, Tucker already has his HT, PT, and STDs; Russell, Brady, and Gromit all have qualifying legs. Anna's half sister, Bidgee, already has her HT, PT, and STDs. Both Russell and Tucker have HIT's already in HSAs, Russell has 2 and Tucker 1, so far...

Anna is an Obligate A - Clear, PRCD. She is OFA Good hips and Normal elbows. Eyes clear 2009.

NEWS! Anna was just back in the show ring after a long break and took the 5 point major, then went on to win BOB!!

Silveraurora's Ginger, HT

She loves people! Working Sheep

Meaghan is a silly, wonderful girl with a gentle personality. She is in constant motion or so it seems! When one of our puppy owners lost their girl in a tragic accident, we let Meaghan fill the loss in the herding arena. Meaghan loves her Dan, and she loves people including judges - haha! She was recently x-rayed and rated OFA Good hips and Normal Elbows. Her dam is Martha, her sire is Chuckles. She is extremely athletic and well angulated, moving much the same as her dam does - fluidly!

Silveraurora's So Much To Do

Mimi has been waiting in the wings here. She is Anna's daughter, sired by Jake. A compact girl, Mimi is our high-jumping social butterfly who's more than happy to visit with dogs and people alike. She too was OFA'd hips Good, Elbows normal. At her first show, she took the Reserve win to the 5 point major! Photo soon!

Silveraurora's Helen B

Helen is Sarah's daughter and a granddaughter of our Darcy - Silver Hills Energizer Bunny STDs,d. Her sire is our Chuckles. Helen was named in honor of Darcy's breeder, the late Helen Blankers. She did us proud - in her very first showing, Helen took the 5 point major out of the Puppy 6-9 month class! Photo soon!
